- SEARLES, James - At St. Mary's Hospital, on Thursday, Oct. 16, 1980, James Searles, of 44 Mansion St., Kitchener, age 89 years. Born in England, he was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. For over 40 years he was a shoemaker with the former Bauer Skate Co. Husband of the former Minnie Duench; father of Leslie and Audrey (Mrs. Henry Miller), both of Kitchener; brother of Miss Catherine Searles of Kitchener; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive. He was predeceased by his parents and one son, Stanley.
