- Ralph Blackmore, peacefully at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital on Monday, April 8, 2002.
Professor Blackmore taught Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo, from 1966-1992. Ralph was also a commentator and host of several shows on CKCO-TV
Previously, he was Financial Editor at the Globe and Mail. He had also served as a pilot with the RCAF during the Second World War.
Beloved husband of the Rose (nee Dastyk). Loving father of Michael and his wife Brenda and Tom and his wife Jane, all of Toronto. Predeceased by his former wife, Beverly Jean McCullagh; parents Wallace and Evelyn Ann Blackmore, and sister Evelyn Ann Freemantle.
Born in Windsor, Ontario in 1916. He attended Assumption College there and then the University of Western Ontario.
