    • Elmer Edgar Schoope, 50, of 226 King St. South, Waterloo, died suddenly Wednesday at his home. Born Nov. 28, 1902, at St. Clements, he was a son of Mrs. Theresa Schoope of St. Clements and the late Louie Schoope. His mother is the former Theresa Rau. He was a member of St. Louis RC Church, Waterloo. Mr. Schoope was a Watkins salesman. Surviving are two sons, Calvin, Galt; Sgt. Gerald with the paratroops in Calgary, and one sister, Mrs. Lex (Sarah) Diebold, Kitchener. One brother predeceased him. Prayers will be said at the Gruhn Funeral Home Saturday at 8: 30 a.m. followed by requiem high mass at St. Louis RC Church at 9 a.m. Rev. Hubert Gehl will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery. The body is resting at the Gruhn Funeral Home where the rosary will be recited Friday at 8 p.m.
