  GERTRUDE "Gert" SALZMAN 1917 - 2009 Passed away peacefully with family at her side on Saturday, July 4, 2009 at Lanark Place, Kitchener at the age of 91 years. Predeceased by her husband, Clifford in 2005; her parents, Harry and Emma Knipfel (nee Gaukel) as well as her sisters, Dorothy and Hilda Salzman and brothers, Elmer and Harry Knipfel. Sadly missed by her sister-in-law, Alice Knipfel; brother and sister-in-law, Marcel (Leon) and his wife Dorothy Salzman; extended family and a large circle of friends. Gertrude was a longtime active member at Grace Lutheran Church, Kitchener. Friends are invited to share their memories of Gert with her family during a visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home , 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Monday, July 6, 2009 (today) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday July 7 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Reception to follow. Interment at Memory Gardens, Breslau. Condolences for the family and donations to Grace Lutheran Church or to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre may be arranged through the funeral home at www.erbgood.com or 519-745-8445. In living memory of Gertrude, a donation will be made to the Trees for Learning Program by the funeral home. Knowing that someone cares is all that really matters.
