    • LOBSINGER, Jeanne M. - It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Jeanne Lobsinger, (nee Smith) at Vernon Jubilee Hospital, on December 31, 2007 at 80 years of age. Jeanne was born the youngest child of Luella (Hallman) and Gilbert Smith on June 18, 1927 in Kitchener, Ontario. She moved to British Columbia when she retired at age 60 from Sears Canada to be closer to her daughters, Janice Marshall (Lorne) and grandsons Bradley and Cameron and Gail Ginn (Tom) and granddaughter Laura. Her son Grant Lobsinger (Patty) and another granddaughter, Julie, live in Bright, Ontario. She is survived by her sister, Florence Lillian Good; sisters-in-law, Kay Lobsinger, Evelyn Lobsinger and Rita Barney. Aunt Jeanne is remembered with affection by many nieces and nephews. She will be missed but never forgotten by her family. She was predeceased by two brothers, Bradford Russell Smith and Ewart Wesley Smith. Jeanne enjoyed many interests throughout her life. Along with her sister, Florence Good, she was a community leader with the Ontario 4-H Club. She loved to sew her own clothes and to garden. She was continually surrounded by beautiful flowers that she enjoyed growing and arranging. Always a creative person, she took up painting after her retirement. Reading was a passion, as was her love for music. She loved to sing and had a beautiful voice which she was called upon to use on stage in a musical in her younger days. May she rest in peace in God's loving arms and once again be given the opportunity to raise her voice, in God's glory. Friends and relatives are invited to a Life Celebration and time of remembering on Sunday, January 27th at Stirling Avenue Mennonite Church, 57 Stirling Avenue N., Kit., in the Fellowship Hall beginning at 2: 30 p.m. Donations can be made in her name to CNIB.
