  BRENNEMAN, Alvin Of 57 Victoria St., New Hamburg, passed away today, May 15, age 68 years, at St. Mary's General Hospital. He was born in South Easthope Township, Jan. 30, 1907. He had farmed in Wilmot Township until his retirement in New Hamburg several years ago. He was a member of Steinman Mennonite Church. A son of the late Peter Z. Brenneman and Mary Oesch; surviving is his wife the former Viola Kipfer; one son Donald of Kitchener; three daughters Margaret (Mrs. Arthur Woinoski) of Waterloo, Shirley (Mrs. Daniel Ropp) of Wellesley and stepdaughter Ruth (Mrs. Nelson Yantzi) of Tavistock; two brothers Oscar of Route 1, New Hamburg and Allan of Waterloo; two sisters Violet (Mrs. Sydney Roth) and Mrs. Salome Zehr, both of Tavistock; 11 grandchildren. The late Mr. Brenneman will rest at the Bruce J. Omand Funeral Home, New Hamburg, on Friday, where friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Steinman Mennonite Church on Saturday at 2: 30. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the charity of your choice. Kitchener-Waterloo Record 16 May 1975 ______________________ Brenneman, Alvin, son of Peter Z. and Mary (Oesch) Brenneman, was born in South Easthope, Twp., Jan. 30, 1907; died at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, Ont., May 15, 1975; aged 68 y. On Aug. 24, 1935, he was married to Viola Kipfer, who survives. Also surviving are 3 daughters (Margaret - Mrs. Arthur Woinski, Shirley - Mrs. Daniel Ropp, and Ruth - Mrs. Nelson Yantzi), one son (Donald), 2 brothers (Oscar and Allen), and 2 sisters (Mrs. Violet Roth and Mrs. Salome Zehr). He was a member of Steinman Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on May 17, in charge of Elmer Schwartzentruber and Vernon Zehr; interment in Steinman Mennonite Cemetery.
