  • Notes
    • Mrs. O.W. Stauffer

Another of the oldtimers of the Didsbury district passed away on Friday, March 11th, when Mrs. O.W. Stauffer died in the Didsbury General Hospital.

Sybilla Weber was born at St. Jacob's, Ontario, on May 12, 1874. Shortly after her marriage to Mr. Oliver W. Stauffer on February 12, 1901, they came to Didsbury and resided on their homestead 4½ miles west until January, 1932, when they moved to town and where they resided until the time of her death.

She was converted in March, 1926, and joined the M.B.C. Church, of which she remained a faithful member until the time of her departure.

Her husband and family of six children remain to mourn her loss. Two daughters: Mrs. Otto Lemke of Acadia Valley, Alta. and Mrs. J.V. Schafer of Lindale, Alta.; four sons: Ira, Lloyd and Lester, who with their families reside on farms near Didsbury, and Ian at home. Besides these there are two brothers, L.R. Weber of Bergen, Alta. and E.R. Weber of Kalamazoo, Mich., also seven grandchildren. A step-mother and brothers and sisters who reside near Vancouver, also survived.
