  KUEPFER, Eva May (Erb) - Went home to Heaven on Monday evening, November 17, 2008. Surrounded by loving family, Eva was peacefully delivered to the arms of Jesus from her home at Nithview Community in New Hamburg. Beloved daughter of Moses O. Erb and Mary (Steinmann), Eva was born in Wellesley Township on March 13, 1921. Cherished wife of Milton B. Kuepfer for over 60 years, who predeceased her in 2006. Eva and Milton farmed in Crosshill and RR 1, Newton, then returned to live in Crosshill in 1980 when they retired from farming. Dear mother of Keith and Charlene Kuepfer, Bernice and Michael Barratt, Janet and David Ropp, Carol and Keith Roth, Grace and Harry Niezen, Bruce and Caroline Kuepfer. Precious Nana to Greg and Buffy, Nick and Mari, Nadine, Katie, Leanne, Nathan and Sarah, Naomi, Noah, Adam and Rachel, Paul, Jason and Tiffany, Josh and Emily, Joey, Nicole and Ethan. Great-Nana to Roma, Charlie and Jack. Loving sister of Milton and Marjorie Erb, Harold and Violet Mae Erb, Wilma and Norm Kuepfer. Sister-in-law to Annie Erb, Millie and Ivan Zehr, Matz Kuepfer and Ruth Kuepfer. Predeceased by sister, Leona and Earl Padington; brother, Alvin Erb; brothers-in-law, Eugene Kuepfer and Clint Kuepfer. Eva loved life and laughter, and was a farmer and homemaker, friend and mentor to all she met. Eva shared her love of family, the outdoors, gardening, the environment, skating, skiing, and animals, which she passed on to future generations. Eva was an active and founding member of Crosshill Mennonite Church, involved in missions ministry of many kinds, and taught Vacation Bible School. Milt and Eva travelled extensively and explored the world together in their camper van. Visitation with family and friends on Thursday, November 20, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Crosshill Mennonite Church, 2537 Hutchison Road, Crosshill. The funeral service will be at the church on Friday, November 21, 2008 at 10 a.m. Pastor Jamie Gerber will officiate. Burial to follow in Rush's Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Nithview Community, Mennonite Central Committee, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario will be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
