  YANTZI, Dorothy Katherine - Passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at Freeport Health Centre, Kitchener. Dorothy was born on August 4, 1930 in Wellesley Township and resided there for most of her 77 years. Beloved wife of the late Hubert E. Yantzi who predeceased her on September 4, 1997. They were married on October 15, 1952. Caring mother of Duane and Anne of Kitchener, Ross and Debbie of Wellesley, Grace of Kitchener, Janet and Gerald Weber of Goldstone, Pauline of Wellesley, Donna and James Jantzi of Topping. Loving grandma of Rachel and James Yantzi, Krista, Travis, Staci and Alecia Weber, Kyle and Kurtis Jantzi. Dear sister of Laurene Hallman and her husband David of Baden, and Ellen Cober and her husband Donald of Wellesley; sister-in-law of Violetta Borntrager of Mobile, Alabama, Ken and Alma Yantzi of Tavistock, Orlin and Eileen Yantzi of Stratford, Earl Yantzi and Alma Conn of Wingham and Carolyn Yantzi of Sudbury. Dorothy was an active member of Maple View Mennonite Church and served the Lord with gladness. Predeceased by her parents, David and Nancy Erb; parents-in-law, Joseph and Emma Yantzi; daughter-in-law, Connie Fitzgerald Yantzi; an infant son; and a brother-in-law, Oscar Borntrager. Dorothy's family greatly appreciates the care and support that she received from the staff of GRT3, Freeport Health Centre following her stroke. The family will receive friends and family at the Futher-Franklin Funeral Home , 1172 Henry St, Wellesley, Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at Maple View Mennonite Church, Deborah Glaister Line Wellesley, on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow in the Maple View Mennonite Cemetery. Pastor Bruce Sawatsky will officiate.
