  GERBER, Ohmer - Peacefully, on Thursday, December 27, 2007, at Nithview Home in New Hamburg, surrounded by the love of his family. Ohmer Gerber was formerly of Wellesley. Ohmer was born in Wilmot Township 91 years ago. Son of the late Solomon Gerber and the late Laura Leis. Ohmer was a faithful member of Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite Church. Loving husband of the late Sarah Roth who predeceased him on November 14, 2002. Cherished father of Ralph (Joanne) of Shakespeare, Kenneth (Linda) of Wellesley, Marie (Sam Assad of Drayton, Orville (Bonnie) of Shakespeare, Floyd (Pat) of Wellesley, Rosella (Jim Leis) of Brunner, Marilyn (Leonard Hammer) of Dryden and Evelyn (Richard Cook) of Wellesley. Dear brother of Sarah Leis of New Hamburg, Moses and Mildred Gerber of Wellesley; sister-in-law, Mary Gerber of Millbank and Eva Gerber of Brunner. Ever remembered by his 24 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Lovingly remembered by the Christian Z Roth families. Predeceased by one son, Gordon in infancy; brother and sisters, Elmer and Sara Gerber, Emma and Nick Schmidt, Esther and David Schwartz, Laura and Elias Jantzi, Amos Gerber, Solomon Gerber, Ralph Leis, Elmina and Alvin Jantzi. Visitation will be held at the Futher-Franklin Funeral Home , 1172 Henry Street, Wellesley, on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Family Funeral Service on Saturday, December 29th in the funeral home at 9: 30 a.m. followed by the Funeral Service at Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite Church, Wellesley, at 10: 30 a.m. Officiated by Bishop Arthur Gerber. Interment to follow at Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite Cemetery. Memorials to the Sunbeam Developmental Centre, Nithview Home or a charity of choice. The Record Newspaper 28 Dec 2007
