  MARTIN, Salome (Horst) Passed away peacefully on Monday, December 12, 2016 at her home, RR 3, Listowel, at the age of 92 years. Salome Martin was the beloved wife of Vernal Martin. Loved mother of Esther and Joseph Brubacher of Wallenstein, Lucille and Mervin Martin of Listowel, Elverne and Grace Martin of West Montrose, Earl and Fern Martin of Elora, Bruce and RuthAnn Martin of West Montrose, Anne and Larry Wideman of Clifford, and Linda and Leroy Wideman of Drayton. Loving grandmother of 30 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Elsie Martin, Orvie and Adeline Horst, Aleda Horst, Edwin and Esther Horst, Delton and Lena Horst, MaryAnn and George Bowman, Elsie Horst, and Annie and William Dafoe. Predeceased by her parents Samuel and MaryAnn Horst, siblings Elmer Horst, Edna Horst, Samuel Horst and infant brother Amsey, brothers-in -law Joseph Martin and Delton Shoemaker, two grandsons and a great-grandson. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. and Thursday, December 15, 2016 from 2-6 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home , 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. A family service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 9 a.m. then to Montrose Mennonite Meeting House for burial and public service.
