    • Lot 2 Concession 9

      The north quarter of this lot was sold by the Hon. William Dickson to Robert Dickson in February 1840. Subsequent owners included: Donald McArthur (1862), William McArthur (1862), William Bond (1862) and Richard Bond in 1881.

      The assessment roll for 1889 showed that the north quarter of this lot was occupied by John H. Bond (b. 1862). His acreage included orchards and wood lots, as well as land planted in fall wheat. His livestock included cattle, sheep, one hog and horses, as well as one dog. His farm was assessed at $3,450 (North Dumfries Assessment Roll, 1889, #49).

      The middle part of this lot was bought by Daniel Campbell in September 1836. Subsequent owners included Richard Bond (1846), William Bond (1854) and Donald McArthur (1862).

      The south part of this lot was sold to Robert Dickson in February 1840, who then conveyed it to David Harvie in March 1841. This part lot was willed to David and John Harvie in 1862. Title passed to David Harvie in 1876, who retained possession of the lot until 1904 (North Dumfries Abstract Index, volume 1 p. 133 and volume 2 p. 78).
