  Flash from the Past: Kitchener band played at 1966 'Mall Days' ......Several readers phoned or emailed to identify band members they spotted in the photo. Shirley Erhardt phoned to say her late husband, Joe Erhardt, was a clarinet player in the band when they met in 1955 and earlier played under conductor Charles Thiele with the Waterloo Musical Society Band. Joe, she recalled, was also the Kitchener band's librarian and had that job when a 1959 fire at its upstairs rehearsal hall on King Street East destroyed the band's collection of musical scores.......
