      LITTLE ROCK FUNERAL HELD FOR WOMAN, 98

      Little Rock, Ia., Oct. 13 - Funeral services were held here today for Mrs. Michael Karcher, 98, Lyon County's oldest resident who died Tuesday. Burial was at the Little Rock Cemetery.

      Mrs. Karcher was born Jan. 6. 1857 in Canada and she came to Little Rock in 1895.

      Survivors are four children, five grandchildren, eight great grand-children and a great great grand- child.

      LITTLE ROCK, Ia.-Special: Funeral services will be at 2 p. m. Thursday at the residence here for Mrs. Michael Karcher, Lyon county's oldest resident who died Tuesday at the age of 98. Burial will be in the Little Rock cemetery.

      Mrs. Karcher was born January 6, 1857, in St. Jacob's, Ontario, She was one of a group of early-day Canadian settlers in Iowa, coming in 1889 to a farm near May City. She came to Little Rock in 1895.

      Survivors are four children, Mrs. Elizabeth Schulze of Welcome, Minn., Mrs. Adlai Raymond of Little Rock, Mrs, Clara Bramley of Creeiman, Saskatchewan, and Edward of Des Moines five grandchildren. eight great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
