- HAFFNER, Milton George -- On Thursday, September 1, 1977, at K-W Hospital, Milton George Haffner, of 351 Huron St., New Hamburg, age 76 years, after a lengthy illness. Mr. Haffner was owner of Haffner Motors in New Hamburg for the past 45 years and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, fourth degree; board of trade and the Holy Name Society. He was a member of Holy Family Church, New Hamburg. He is survived by his wife, the former Luella Montag; one son, Ronald, of New Hamburg, three daughters, Mrs. Karl (Mildred) Binkley of Kitchener, Mrs. Joseph (Shirley) Weber and Mrs. Howard (Margery) Brown, both of New Hamburg. He is also survived by one brother, Clarence Haffner and one sister, Mrs. Frank (Irene) Gies, both of Waterloo; 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Magdalena Haffner; two brothers George and Edgar Haffner. Friends may call at the Omand-Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg on Saturday, September 3, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and Sunday September 4 from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Parish rosarys will be recited at the funeral home on Sunday, September 4, at 2: 30 p.m. Knights of Columbus Scripture service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, September 4, at 8: 30 p.m. Prayers will be held at the funeral home on Monday, September 5, at 10: 45 a.m., followed by a funeral mass at Holy Family Church, at 11 a.m., with Mgsr. R.W. O'Brien officiating assisted by Father Louis Batte and Father Charles Brunck. Interment in Riverside cemetery, New Hamburg.
