  TOMAN, Walter H. - Passed into Glory, peacefully at his residence, in Wilmot Township, on Thursday, May 26, 2005. He was born 71 years ago on April 27, 1934 at the family farm, a son of the late Clayton H. and Kathryn (Sararas) Toman.Walter was an active member of New Dundee Baptist Church where he had served as both Deacon and Trustee. He worked 47 years as an electrician and plumber, partnering with his brothers in Frank Toman Plumbing and Electric. Walter was a member of the New Dundee Board of Trade, the Property Committee of Camp Hermosa, Gideons International, and a volunteer with SOWERS. He loved spending time with his family and also enjoyed travelling, reading and more recently curling and lawn bowling.Beloved wife of Tina (nee Loewen) whom he married July 17, 1965. Loving father of Mark and Sandy Toman of Fergus and Phil and Mary Beth Toman of Waterloo. Devoted grandpa of Laura, Krista, Abigail, Kathryn and William. Sadly missed by sister, Alice and Peter Schmidt of Kitchener and brother, Elwood and Gerry Toman of Wilmot Township. Also remembered by sister-in-law, Reta Toman of Wilmot Township; a number of Loewen brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by brother, Frank Toman (2002).Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg today (Saturday) from 7-9 p.m. and again Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, May 30, 2005 at 1: 30 p.m. at Bethel Evangelical Missionary Church, New Dundee with Pastor Paul Kowtecky officiating. Burial to follow in Union Cemetery, New Dundee. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to New Dundee Baptist Church, The Gideons, Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of one's choice.
