- J. Earl Schiedel, 48, of 43 Chestnut St., died Thursday at his home following a brief illness.
Born in Kitchener on March 6, 1914, he was a son of Mrs. Edna Rieck of Kitchener and the late John Schiedel
He had been employed at the Dominion Rubber Company Ltd. tire division, for 13 years. He was a member of Emmanuel Evangelical United Brethren Church, Bridgeport, treasurer of the mission fund, a member of the board of trustees and a Sunday school teacher,
His wife, the former Ruth Perrin, whom he married April 6 1940, survives.
Besides his wife and mother. he is survived by two sons, John and Dannie; two daughters, Betty and Barbara, all at home; a brother, Lloyd Schiedel Waterloo; two sisters, Mrs. Orie (Ruby) Litwiller, Waterloo, and Mrs. Harold (Audrey) Marriotte. Kitchener; a step-brother, Harold Rieck, Waterloo, and three step-sisters, Mrs. Harold Huehn. Rummelhart: Mrs, Roy Heller. Waterloo, and Mrs. Edward Armstrong. Pickering Beach, He was predeceased by his father in 1944 and by one brother, John.
The body will be at the Ratz- Bechtel Funeral Home after noon on Saturday until noon on Monday when removal will be made to Emmanuel EUB Church, Bridgeport, for service at 3 p.m. Interment will be in Woodland Cemetery. Rev. E. F. Dorsch will officiate.
Donations to the missionary fund of the church and the Canadian Cancer Society will be ac cepted as expressions of sympathy.
