  MRS. JOHN DECKERT Funeral services were held on Friday at St. Peter's Lutheran church, Linwood, for Mrs. John Deckert who died in Freeport hospital last Tuesday after a lengthy illness. She was 79. She was the former Christina Lavina Deckert, born in Wellesley township on May 13, 1891, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Deckert. She was predeceased by her first husband, Henry Stever, in 1927, and by her second husband, John Deckert, in 1966. Two sons and two sisters also predeceased her. She is survived by a son, [unreadable] Stever of Heidelberg; a daughter, Mrs. David (Edna) Millar of Linwood; a step-daughter, Mrs. Harry (Ila) Lantz of Linwood; a brother, Albert Deckert of Kitchener; and eight grandchildren. Burial in the church cemetery followed the services which were conducted by the Rev. Arthur Horst.
