- STROH, Eileen (Mrs. Earl) - Peacefully on Thursday, September 20, 2007 at St. Mary's Hospital. Eileen (Geisel) Stroh in her 82nd year, of St. Jacobs and formerly of RR 2, Elmira. Beloved wife of the late Earl Stroh (March 31, 2007) for 53 years. Loving mother of Richard Stroh of Elmira, Ron Stroh and Raye McCall Stroh of Heidelberg, Marie Stroh of Walkerton, and Miriam and Michael McElligott of Texas. Lovingly remembered by her two grandsons, Ryan and Reed McCall Stroh and by her nieces, nephews and their families. Sister-in-law of Jean Moyer (Peter) of Waterloo. Eileen was the last surviving member of her family having been predeceased by her parents, Albert and Katherine (Reis) Geisel and her sister, Edna Israel. Eileen was a longtime, faithful member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Elmira. The family will receive their friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home , Elmira on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At 9 a.m. on Tuesday, September 25, 2007, transfer will be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Elmira, for funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Richard Frey officiating followed by interment in St. James Lutheran Cemetery. In her memory, donations to St. Mary's Hospital Foundation (Cardiac Care) or St. Paul's Lutheran Church Accessibility Fund, would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.
