- Alexander Romanuk of 202 Dundas Ave. Kitchener, died Friday at St. Mary's Hospital following an illness of five weeks. He was 76. Mr. Romanuk was born in Romania and came in[sic] Kitchener four years ago. He is a retired railroad worker. He was predeceased by is wife, the former Martinee Therrien, in 1931 and is survived by a son, Joseph of Elmira, four daughters, Mrs. Harold (Ida) Trezanja of Toronto, Mrs. Leslie (Rose) Livingston of Britt, Ont., Mrs. Oliver (Eva) Fletcher of Kitchener, and Mrs. Armand (Beatrice) Hiebert of Toronto; 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The body was at the Gruhn Funeral Home after noon Saturday where prayers were offered Monday at 8: 30 a.m. followed by a requiem mass at St. Joseph's RC Church at 9 a.m. The rosary was recited at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Sunday. Burial was in Woodland cemetery.
