    • Margaret passed away in her sleep at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital on Friday, September 15, 2006 in her 85th year. Margaret was born in Linwood, Ontario on August 29, 1922. She was employed at Forsyth Shirt from 1939-1952 and was the co-owner operator with her husband of the Cozy Inn Restaurant (Victoria St. N., Kitchener) from 1952-1996.

      Margaret was the beloved wife of Arthur Ray for 59 years. Loving mother of Nancy Sawicki (Ken Dumas), Dianne deBajureas and Paul Ray (Jeanette Rowe). Loving grandmother of Derek, Devin, Allen and Katrina. She will be missed by her sister Beatrice Musselman and brother Harold Schlueter and his wife Mary and sister-in-law Gladys Schlueter.

      Margaret was predeceased by her parents Emmanuel and Ida Schlueter, infant daughter Shirley, brothers Adam and Lorne, sisters Mabel Mitchell, Ruby Welsh and Verna Schott. Margaret will be remembered by her many nieces, nephews and friends and their families. Margaret enjoyed a full life as a wife, mother and grandmother, she touched many lives through her lifes journey. Her love, kindness, generosity and laughter will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

      Family and friends are invited to share their memories of Margaret with her family from 7-9 PM Sunday and on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Parish prayers 8: 30 Monday evening. Prayers will be offered in the funeral home chapel at 9: 30 AM Tuesday, September 19, 2006 followed by procession to St. Anthony Daniel R.C. Church (29 Midland Dr., Kitchener) for Funeral Mass at 10 AM. Fr. Earl Talbot officiating.

      Following the funeral mass a reception will take place at the funeral home. In memory of Margaret, expressions of sympathy donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, Canadian Diabetes Association or the Kidney Foundation of Canada would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home). A very special thank you to Dr. Brian Kelly, Dr. Tom Lui and nurses of 5D South and the Renal Clinic of Grand River Hospital and Dr. Melanie Carruthers and nurses at Freeport Hospital for their caring support, attention and compassionate care to Mom.
