  At St. Mary's Hospital, on Thursday, March 27, 1975, after a lingering illness, Hilda Gerth, age 66 years, of 208 Montgomery Rd., Kitchener, a member of the Kitchener Gospel Temple and very active in church activities. Wife of Irvin; mother of Paul of Barrie, Mrs. Donald (Mary Louise) Clunas of India; sister of Henry Gerth and Mrs. Carrie Becker, both of Detroit; seven grandchildren, 26 adopted grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive; predeceased by her parents, her first husband Percy Shoemaker in 1970 and three sisters. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, until noon on Monday when removal will be made to the Kitchener Gospel Temple, where the funeral service will be held at the church at 3, with Rev. George E. Griffith officiating. Interment will be in Memory Gardens cemetery. Donations to missions may be made as expressions of sympathy. Kitchener-Waterloo Record 28 Mar 1975
