- ROBERT B. WEBER 1919 - 2004 Suddenly, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Tuesday, May 11, 2004, age 85. Beloved husband of his wife and best friend, Irene for 62 years. Loving father of Judith (Bob) Reist of Bloomingdale, Robert D. (Lori) Weber of Calgary, AB, Susan (Cathal) O'Toole of Bloomingdale and Tom (Corrie) Weber of Ottawa. Dear Gramps of Stephan (Jen) Reist, Terri Lynn (Pat) George, Megan Weber, Shawna Weber, Jeffrey Weber, Ryan O'Toole, Jennifer O'Toole, Steven Weber, Kristie Weber and Katie O'Toole; Great Papa of Nathan and Daniel George and Charlie Reist. He is also survived by his sister Muriel Schadek of Winnipeg, brother Irvin E. Weber of Kitchener and brother-in-law Paul Murdoch of Simcoe. He was predeceased by his parents Irvin K. and Irene E. Weber; sister Ruth Murdoch of Simcoe; brother-in-law Dr. William Schadek of Winnipeg and sister-in-law Mrs. Irvin E. (Dorothea) Weber of Kitchener. Bob was an active member in the Bloomingdale United Church for 59 years. He served as a trustee and was a member of the Session. Bob graduated from KCI and the Ontario Agricultural College, Guelph in 1941 with a BSA. He was a retired teacher from Grand River Collegiate. Bob lived in Bloomingdale for 54 years before moving to Waterloo. He received great pleasure during his time at the family cottage at Oliphant. Friends are invited to share their memories of Bob with his family at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, May 14, 2004 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Cremation will follow with a private family committal service at Bloomingdale Mennonite Cemetery. A memorial service to celebrate Bob's life will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Saturday, May 15, 2004 at 11 am, with Rev. Paul Ellingham officiating. Following the service, friends and relatives are invited to the Reception Room of the funeral home for refreshments and a time to visit with the family.
