  MARTIN, Sidney M. - Entered into rest suddenly as a result of a farm accident, on Wednesday, October 8, 2008, at the age of 70. Beloved husband of Valina and dear father of Anna (Mrs. Sidney Bowman) of RR 6 Lindsay, John (Esther) of RR 1 Holyrood, Mary (Mrs. Aaron Martin) of RR 2 West Montrose, Erma at home, Katie of RR 1 Ariss and Mark (Lena) of RR 6 Lindsay. Survived by 23 grandchildren. Brother of Adeline (Mrs. Levi Frey), Mrs. Sarah Weber, Melinda (Mrs. Ivan Sauder), Annie Martin, Selina (Mrs. Simon Martin), Urias (Lucinda), Ephraim (Annie), Ammon (Velina), Oziah (Emma) and Joseph (Ada); also sister-in-law, Minerva Martin. Predeceased by his brother, David; one sister-in-law and one brother-in-law. Viewing and service at North Woolwich Mennonite Meeting House on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 10 a.m. Friends may call at his home at 500 Cheese Factory Road, Lindsay on Sunday, October 12, 2008 from 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. Private service to be held at his home on Monday, October 13, 2008 at 9 a.m. Viewing and interment to follow at Valleyview Cemetery, 466 King's Wharf Road. A public service will be held at 432 King's Wharf Road immediately following the interment. Arrangements entrusted to the Mackey Funeral Home , 33 Peel Street, Lindsay (705-328-2721).
