  Bast.- Mary, daughter of John and Barbara Schultz, was born in Wellesley Twp., Ont, Nov. 27, 1883; died suddenly at her home in Wellesley, following a heart attack, June 16, 1967; aged 83 y. 6 m. 20 d. On May 3, 1933, she was married to Samuel Bast, who survives. Also surviving is one sister (Elizabeth-Mrs. Samuel Leis). She was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 3 sisters. She was a member of the Maple View Church, where funeral services were held June 19, with Chris 0. Erb, Alvin Leis, and Chris Streicher officiating. Gospel Herald - Volume LX, Number 30 - August 1, 1967, pages 698, 699. _____________________________________ Mrs. Samuel Bast By Record Correspondent WELLESLEY-Mrs. Samuel Bast, 83, of Wellesley, died suddenly at her home Friday night. Mrs. Bast was the former Mary Schultz, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John S. Schultz, and was born in Wellesley Township. Mrs. Bast was a member of the Maple View Mennonite Church, Wellesley. She lived in the village for 20 years after farming in Wellesley Township. Surviving are her husband, to whom she was married in 1933 at Wellesley and a sister, Mrs. Samuel (Elizabeth) Leis of RR 2, Wellesley. Three sisters and three brothers predeceased her. The body will be at the Futher Brothers Funeral Home, Wellesley, until noon Monday when removal will be made to Maple View Mennonite Church for service at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Donations to the Ontario Heart Foundation or the Western Ontario Mennonite mission board will be accepted as expressions of sympathy Kitchener-Waterloo Record 18 Jun 1967
