- MARTIN, Lydia Born February 12, 1922 in Wellesley Township. Died peacefully on Sunday, September 22, 2013, at Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton with her family by her side. She was in her 92nd year. She was the daughter of the late Titus and Adah (Martin) Bauman. Beloved wife of the late Joseph B. Martin. They were married October 24, 1946. Dear mother of Ada and husband Paul Schmidt of Stratford; Amos and wife Eleanor Martin of Kenabeek; Mary and husband Kenneth Lebold of Earlton; Martha and husband Maynard Bauman of Stratford; Elmer and wife Ruth Ann Martin of Owen Sound; Melvin and wife Lucinda Martin of Millbank; and James and wife Marilyn Martin of Keady. Sadly missed by 20 grandchildren and 52 great-grand-children. Remembered by her brothers Moses and wife Barbara Bauman, Titus Bauman, Henry and wife Erla Bauman, Emmanuel and wife Adeline Bauman, sisters Selina Horst, Adah Burkhart, Hettie and husband Sidney Metzger, Elizabeth and husband Joshua Martin and sister-in-law Hilda Bowman. Lydia was predeceased by daughter-in-law Margaret Martin, three grand-children, brothers Josiah and wife Velina Bauman, Edwin and wife Selina Bauman, John Bowman, sister Katie Bauman, sister-in-law Salome Bauman and brothers-in-law Isaac Horst and Elam Burkhart. Lydia was a member of Woodlawn Mennonite Fellowship, Dorking. Family and friends will be received at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer Street, Milverton on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 from 3-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Countryside Mennonite Fellowship Church, Hawkesville with Bishop Paul Martin officiating. Interment to follow in Hillside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Reapers of Hope, an extension of Christian Aid Ministries or Knollcrest Lodge Building Fund.
