- GERBER, Mary S. - Passed away, on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003 at Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton, her residence for the last number of months. Mary was formerly of Millbank and the Brunner Nursing Home and was born 100 years ago in Wellesley Township. She was the daughter of the late Rudolph and Rachal (Schrag) Lichti. Mary was a member of Fairhaven Amish Mennonite Church, Poole. She enjoyed piecing quilts and reading.Beloved wife of the late Chris J. Gerber who predeceased her in 1985. Dear mother of Mahlon L. and his wife Mary Gerber of RR 1, Millbank, Dorothy and her husband Amos Lichty of Listowel and Dan L. and his wife Darlene Gerber of RR 1, Millbank. Sadly missed by 12 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren. Also remembered by a sister-in-law, Lavina Lichti of Stratford. Mary was predeceased by two grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sisters, Nancy and John Bellar, Susan and Dan J. Gerber; brothers, Solomon and Emma Lichti, Moses Lichti, Aaron and Emma Lichti.Family and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer St., Milverton today (Monday) from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2003 at 2 p.m. at Fairhaven Amish Mennonite Church with Bishop Melvin Roes officiating. Interment in Mornington Amish Mennonite Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Knollcrest Lodge or Master's International Ministries.
