  GERBER, David W. -- On Sunday, Oct. 12, 1980, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, David W. Gerber of Nithburg. Mr. Gerber was born in Wellesley township 78 years ago, a son of the late John Gerber and the late Catherine Wagler. He had farmed at Nithburg, retiring 20 years ago. He also operated a gristmill and the sawmill in Nithburg, retiring in 1979. He was a member of Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite Church. Beloved husband of the former Barbara Ropp; dear father of Allan of Route 2, Wellesley, Dr, Melvin of Willow Street, PA., Robena Gerber of Cambridge, Esther (Mrs. Allan Nafziger) of Route 1, Milverton, and Katie (Mrs. Nelson Roth) of Route 2, Wellesley; dear brother of Jacob and Joseph, both of Wellesley, John of New Hamburg, Aaron of Crosshill and Nancy (Mrs. Amos Nafziger) of New Hamburg. Also survived by 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was predeceased by one daughter, Irene, in 1942, and also by one brother and two sisters. Visitation at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home in Wellesley, where a family service will be conducted on Wednesday, Oct. 15, at 1 p.m., which will be followed by the funeral service at the Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite Church at 3 p.m., Bishop Arthur Gerber will officiate.
