  MARTIN, Cleta S. (Mrs. Cleon W.) - Peacefully, at her home, on Thursday, August 17, 2006, surrounded by her family, following a lengthy, courageous battle with cancer. Cleta Martin in her 88th year, of RR 1, West Montrose. Loving wife of the late Cleon W. Martin (1974.) Dear mother of Eva and Clarence Martin, Vera and Sylvan Martin, Arlene and George Bauman, all of Elmira, Clare and Reta Martin and Murray and Patricia Martin of RR 1, West Montrose. Also lovingly remembered by her 21 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren. Sister of Irla Gingerich of Zurich, Maurice and Ella Martin of Elora and sister-in-law of Almeda Martin of RR 4, Elmira. Cleta was the daughter of the late Ervin and Lucinda (Shantz) Martin. Predeceased by her step-mother, Mary Martin; grandsons, Christopher and Marvin Martin; brother Milford Martin; sister, Bernice and her husband Lorne Gingerich and brother-in-law, Alvin Gingerich. The family will receive friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The family service will be held in the funeral chapel on Monday, August 21 at 9: 30 a.m., then to West Montrose Mennonite Meeting House for further public service and burial in the adjoining cemetery. In her memory, donations to Mennonite Central Committee or Grand River Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.
