  Stefan Zmija Funeral service took place Thursday at Sacred Heart RC church, Kitchener, for Stefan Zmija, 87, who died last Monday at his Kitchener home. Burial was in Woodland cemetery. A native of Poland, he came to the Kitchener area in 1913 and farmed until his retirement in 1943. His wife, the former Sophie Kubasiak, died in 1960. He is survived by six sons, Walter of Elmira, Theodore, Anthony, Alvin, Emil and Alfred of Kitchener; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Anne) Elzby of Kitchener and Mrs. Edward (Theresa) Nafziger of Erbsville; one brother, Ludwik of Detroit; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
