  Christian Burkholder, "the eldest son of I Christian Burkholder, was born in Switzerland, June 1st, 1746, and was nine years old when he came to America with his mother. He was married to Anna Groff who died October 11th, 1795. He died May 13th, 1809." Eby, Ezra E. (1895).
