  Michael Martin, "the only son of Peter and Elizabeth (Weber) Martin, was born in Waterloo County about the year 1821, and was raised at the Twenty where he died in February, 1888. He was married to Anna Moyer and had a family of eight children, namely:...These children were all born in Lincoln County. No information received of any of their descendants save of Isaac, the fourth member of the family, who came and settled in Waterloo County." Eby, Ezra E. (1895).
