  AITKIN, Velma Jean, of Cambridge Country Manor, on Tuesday January 28th 1992 in her 83th [sic] year. Beloved wife of George Aitkin of Cambridge. Also survived by a brother Allen J. Smith and his wife Margaret and a sister Luella (Mrs. Jack Slee) both of Cambridge. Mrs. Aitkin was a life long resident of Cambridge and was a former employee of Waterloo Trust. At the request of the family their[sic] will be no visitation a Memorial Service will be held at the Corbett Funeral Home 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge, on Friday, January 31st, 1992, at 2: 00 p.m. with Rev. Elizabeth MacDonald officiating. Cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Cambridge Memorial Hospital or Cambridge Country Manor Auxiliary would be appreciated by the family. Cambridge Reporter 29 Jan 1992
