    • AITKIN, Marion Peacefully, May 17, 2013, at Lisaard House Cambridge, in her 94th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Bruce Aitkin, and loving mother of Eleanor (Denis Matte), Helen, George, Lois (Mike Darmon), and Robert. P roud grandmother of ten and great-grandmother of four. Daughter of the late William C. and Agnes Barrie. Remembered by brothers William, Jim, George (Gwen) and David (Miriam), and sister Eleanor Henderson and the late Margaret Down. Lifelong member of Central Presbyterian Church, choir member for 80 years; gardener, humorist, musician, recipient of the Bernice Adams Award for the Arts. Active in Women's Institute, world traveler, dietician, teacher, and avid journalist. Special thank s to Dr. Lawrie. Celebration of Life at Central Presbyterian Church (7 Queen's Square, Cambridge), on Friday, May 24, 2013 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Lisaard House would be appreciated.
