    • PEARSON, John (Jack) Suddenly. on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 1997, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, Jack Pearson, of New Hamburg.

      He was born in East Zorra township 71 years ago, a son of the late Frank and Wilhelmenia (Kaufman) Pearson. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, New Hamburg, a charter member and past president of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 532. New Hamburg where he was very active. He was a lifetime member, past president, coach and official in the New Hamburg Hockey Association, past president of the Waterloo Wellington Hockey Association and had coached and officiated in other hockey associations. Past chairman and current member of the committee that organizes the District 26 Ontario Senior Games. Jack had been involved in Minor ball in New Hamburg. He was reelected to his third term on the Wilmot Council where he was very involved on various committees.

      Beloved husband of Helen (Wettlaufer) whom he married July 29, 1950. Loving father of Tom and his wife Sherry, Rick and his wife Susan, all of New Hamburg. Lyle and his wife Robin, Bob and his wife Judy, all of Waterloo, Tim and his wife Kim of Kitchener. Ever missed by his grandchildren. Jen. Laura, Jacquelyn, James, Kaitlin. Nicholas, Erin, Cara. Holly, Luke, Marc, Alexandra and Tanner. Dear brother of Doris and her husband Mac Smith and Ferne Stewart, all of Woodstock. Also missed by two sisters-in-law. Norma Pearson and Margaret Mueller, both of Tavistock and two brothers-in-law, Norm Wettlaufer of New Hamburg and Jim Wettlaufer and his wife Lyla of RR 2. Petersburg.

      Predeceased by two brothers. Lloyd and Glenn.

      Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg. today (Wednesday) from 7-9 p.m.. Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At noon Friday. Nov. 14, 1997, transfer will be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, New Hamburg for the service at 2 p.m.. with Pastor Andre Lavergne and Pastor Judi Harris presiding. Burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery, New Hamburg.
