    • SHANTZ, Maurice James "Moe" -He died on Thursday, August 21, 2008, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, at the age of 78. He is survived by his wife, Peggy; son, Jim and his wife Heather, and daughter, Cathy McConnell. Grandfather of Michael and Leah Sonnenberg. Brother of Mildred Bullas. Predeceased by his brother, Walter. Maurice was a longtime employee of John Forsyth Company and, in his retired years, he was a shuttle driver for Weiland Ford. In his earlier years, he was known as a good athlete. Maurice was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, and also a session, board and choir member. Cremation has taken place. Maurice's family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, August 24, 2008 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467, from 11 a.m. - 12: 20 p.m., followed by a memorial service to celebrate his life at 12: 30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
