- BRENNER, Alexander Joseph
Of 236 Argyle St. S., Cambridge, at Golden Years Nursing Home, Tuesday, May 10, 1988, in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Yvonne Collard: dearly loved by two daughters, Annette Carrie and her husband Dave of Kitchener and by Miss Elaine at home: by two sons, Alex C. and his wife Edith, by Stan and his wife Colleen, all of Cambridge: by 14 grandchildren and by nine great-grandchildren. Also survived by two brothers, Clarence of Montreal and by Paul of Wellandport, Ont. and by one sister, Anna Marie Schmitz, of St. Walburg, Sask. Predeceased by two brothers and by two sisters. Mr. Brenner was born in St. Clements, Ont., and came to Cambridge (Preston) in 1916. Employed at Eastern Steel Products, for 45 years, retiring in 1965. He was the official scorer for the Preston Industrial Fast Ball League. A member of St. Clement's RC Church, Cambridge and was a member of the Holy Name Society. The family will receive friends at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, Wednesday (today) and Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Clement's RC Church, Cambridge, Friday, May 13, 1988, at 9: 30 a.m. Interment Parklawn cemetery.
