  EIDT, Kathryn Ann Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Grand River Hospital, Freeport Health Centre. Kathryn was born 93 years ago in North Easthope Township and was the daughter of the late Ezra H. and Lovina Lantz (Filsinger). Beloved wife of the late Earl Edwin Eidt who predeceased her in 1990. Loving mother to Paul and Elizabeth (Betty Ann) Eidt, Kenneth & Patricia Eidt, Bruce Eidt and Yvonne and Larry Pletsch. Cherished grandmother to Leanne (Christopher), Stephanie (Zachary), Matthew (Ashleigh), Sherri-lynn (Mike), Gary (Tessa), Jason (Loretta), Cherise (Jeremy) and Parry as well as 18 great-grandchildren. Kathryn will be dearly missed by her brother George and Lois Lantz as well as sister-in-law Mary Lantz and her many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her brothers Harvey (Elizabeth), Clifton (Marjorie) and Kenneth. Kathryn was a former member at Lisbon United Church and Westhills. Kathryn's time was well spent as a 4H leader and participating in the fall fairs. Kathryn taught Sunday school for many years and was the clerk of session. She was a member of the women's' institute, Joy Fellowship, UCW and the Horticultural Society. Family and friends were invited to a time of visitation on Monday, October 2, 2017 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg. A funeral service followed in the funeral home chapel at 11:15 a.m. Rev. Bob Thaler Officiated. Interment in the Lisbon United Cemetery. New Hamburg Indepedent 29 Sep 2017
