  WELLESLEY - Herbert W. Schmidt, 70, of lot 11, concession 7, North Easthope Township, died suddenly Sunday while preparing to attend church. Mr. Schmidt lived on the same farm all his life. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Schmidt and was an active member of the Lisbon Evangelical United Brethren Church. Surviving are his wife, the former Idella Klein; two sons, Orval of North Easthope Township and Russell, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Alvin (Verda) Lingelbach of Wilmot Township and Shirley at home: four sisters, Mrs. Henry (Ida) Weil and Mrs. Allen (Elma) Otto both of East Zorra Township, Mrs. Clarence (Lorna) Nebergall of Florida and Mrs. Harvey (Nelda) Riehl of Sebringville. Two grandchildren also survive. The body will be at the Futher Funeral Home, Wellesley, until Wednesday at 12: 30 p.m. when removal will be made to the Lisbon Evangelical United Brethren Church for the funeral at 2: 30 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
