Victor J. Cook, a former area resident, died Thursday in hospital at Kitchener.
Born March 15, 1898, In North Easthope Township, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Levi Cook. He moved to Kitchener in 1950, and was employed as a securlty guard at Marsland Engineering Ltd., Waterloo, for four years. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
He married Clara Mae Gray on May 23, 1942. She survives with two sons, Earl Cook of Galt and Michael at home; two stepsons, Howard Gray In Paris and Clarence of Kitchener; four brothers, Edward and Levi, both of Stratford, William of Wellesley and Roy of Tavistock; a sister, Mrs. Emma Schlegel of Waterloo; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The service was conducted Saturday afternoon at the Gruhn Funeral Home, Kitchener with Rev. J.W. Opperman officiating. Burial was In St. James cemetery, North Easthope.

Victor James Cook, 70, of 913 Queens Blvd. died today at St. Mary's Hospital.
