  • Notes
    • The death of Elton Christner took place on Sunday last at his home west of the town, after an illness with diphtheria of a week's duration. He had a very hard fight for his life, but in spite of all doctors could do, including an operation, he succumbed as states, at the age of 37 years.

Elton was well known and well liked throughout the district, although he was of a quiet disposition in public, and his many young friends will miss him from their circles. He was born at New Hamburg, Ont., and came to Alberta about 17 years ago, with Mr. and Mrs. C.F. Rennie, his uncle and aunt, consequently he could be classed as an old-timer. His father and mother are both dead, but he leaves a wife at home, two full brothers, one in Kitchener, Ont., and the other in Minnesota, and a sister who lives at Plattsville, Ont., besides some step-brothers and sisters to mourn his loss. Mr. and Mrs. John Christner of Calgary is an uncle and aunt.

The funeral took place on Monday at Didsbury.
