  George A. Edgar Passes A resident of Galt for more than 50 years, George Allison Edgar; 33 Gilholm Ave., died Saturday evening at the South Waterloo Memorial Hospital. Born in Scotland March 30, 1882, a son of the late Thomas Edgar and the former Jean Allison Edgar, he came from Scotland to Ayr, where he resided for more than 20 years, prior to making his home in Galt, where for many years he had been in the egg grading business, until his retirement some years ago. A member of Central Presbyterian Church, he had served as an elder for many years. He was also a member of the Seminole Fishing Club. Surviving, besides his wife, the former Annabella MacGeorge, are two daughters, Margaret and Mrs. John Hedges (Agnes), both of Galt; one sister, Mrs. Agnes Dean of Toronto, and two grandchildren. Funeral service was held today (Wednesday) at the W. R. Coutts Funeral Home, Galt, with interment in Mount View Cemetery. The Ayr News Sep 28 1961 pg 9
