  Mary Cress, "the eldest in family, was born in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, April 29th 1790. She was married to John B. Beaty who was born December 27th, 1779, and died April 29th, 1857. They resided a little west of the town of Waterloo, on the 'Heckedon Farm' where she died march 15th, 1852. To them were born four children" Eby, Ezra E. (1895). A biographical history of Waterloo township and other townships of the county: being a history of the early settlers and their descendants, mostly all of Pennsylvania Dutch origin: as also much other unpublished historical information chiefly of a local character.
