  GINGRICH, Elvina (Mrs. Orton) - Peacefully went to be with her Lord on Sunday, August 15, 2004 at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital. Elvina (Metzger) Gingrich, age 70 years, of Elmira. Beloved wife of Orton Gingrich for 47 years. Dear mother of Kathy and Sam Coffman of Clarkston, Washington and Ken and Vicki Gingrich of Elmira. Sister of Lorne and Florence Metzger of Elmira, Tilman and Karen Metzger of St. Clements, Eileen and Phares Martin of Listowel and sister-in-law of Harvey Martin of Elmira. Predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Katie (Martin) Metzger; her step-mother, Amanda (Bowman) Metzger; her sister, Minerva Martin and two sisters and one brother in infancy. Elvina was an employee of Stedman's in Elmira for over 22 years. The family will receive their friends and relatives at The Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Tuesday (today) from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At noon on Thursday transfer will be made to the Hawkesville Mennonite Church for funeral service at 2 p.m. with Pastor Perry Bartel officiating followed by interment in Hawkesville Cemetery. In her memory, donations to Canadian Arthritis Society or Mennonite Central Committee would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy. The Record 16 Aug 2004
