    • DOERING, Roy - Peacefully, on Thursday, Jan. 6, 2000, at K-W Health of Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, Roy Doering, of New Hamburg and formerly of RR 2, Baden (Philipsburg).

      He was born in Wilmot Township 74 years ago, son of the late Edwin and Edna (Wettlaufer) Doering. Roy had farmed on the home farm for many years before retiring to New Hamburg. Roy was a life member of Zion Lutheran Church, Philipsburg where he had been caretaker of the cemetery and church custodian for a number of years. Roy had also been the caretaker of Riverside Cemetery in New Hamburg for eight years. He enjoyed carpentry work and was a avid card player.

      Beloved husband of Blanche Rabethge whom he married September 2, 1950. Dear brother of Irene Neeb of Wellesley and brother-in-law of Evelyn Hohl of New Hamburg, Irene and Donald Cunningham of Elmira, Laverne and Dora Rabethge of Kitchener. Roy is also lovingly remembered by 26 nieces, nephews and their families.

      Roy was predeceased by a sister, Hilda (January 3, 2000) and by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Lloyd Guenther, Walter Neeb, Stanley Hohl and Elma and her husband Howard Heimpel and one niece.

      Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg, on Sunday, Jan 9, 2000 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. ON Monday, Jan 10, 2000 at noon transfer will be made to Zion Lutheran Church, RR 2, Baden (Philipsburg) for the funeral service at 2 pm, with Pastor Eric Schultz officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
