  WEIGEL, Walter C. Peacefully, on Friday, Feb. 19, 1988, at his home, 22 Riverside Drive West, Elmira, after a lengthy struggle with cancer, in his 80th year. Beloved son of the late Frederick and Amelia (Kaufman) Weigel. Dearly loved husband of Alma Schaner. Lovingly remembered by his daughter, Grace and John; grandfather of Jamie and Julie and her friend Chris. Sadly missed by his two sisters, Edna Felpush and Emmaline Weigel, both of Elmira. Predeceased by five brothers, Norman, Edward, Otto, Frederick and Herbert and two sisters, Alma and Edith. Mr. Weigel was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Elmira and the Elmira Senior Citizens; and prior to his retirement, worked at Uniroyal, Kitchener. Visitation at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, where the family will receive their friends Saturday (today), 2: 30-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. At noon on Sunday, transfer will be made to St. James Lutheran Church, Elmira, for funeral service at 2 p.m., with Rev.
