- REV. ISAAC DICK
Isaac John Dick was born on Oct. 25, 1891, in South Russia. Death came on Jan. 5, 1955. He was a beloved father and husband. He reached the age of 63 years, two months and 11 days.
In 1924, he and his wife came to Ontario, Canada from Russia. Their union was blessed with two sons, John and William. His first wife died in 1929. Shortly after this he accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was called into the ministry. He served the United Mennonite church of Ontario, Canada in the capacity of pastor for the following 19 years.
In September 1929, he was united in marriage with Katharina Friesen, a widow with one son Jacob. Three children, Frieda, Arthur and Edward, were born to them. God blessed them with 25 years of life together.
Mother and father and their three younger children moved to Winton, Calif. in August 1948. His illness began on Dec. 1, 1954. After four weeks of difficult illness, on Jan. 5, 1955, he departed unto the Lord Whom he loved and served.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Katharina, and their children, Jacob Friesen of St. Catharines, Ontario, John Dick of Kitchener, Ont., Bill Dick of Stratford, Ont., Frieda of Gustine, Calif., Arthur of Kansas, Eddie of Winton, four daughters-in-law and one son-in-law; seven grandchildren; one brother, Peter Dick of New Hamburg, Ont.; and a host of relatives and friends.
We mourn, but not as such who have no hope. \emdash The Family.
