(paper torn away). -Information from the death certificate: Born in Scotland. Died from inflammation of the bowels, aged 58 years. The informant was Robert Hammersley of lot 12, 3rd concession of Puslinch. -Information courtesy of Chris Bowman from Commemorative Biographical Record of the County of Essex: Her father came from Perthshire, Scotland, when quite young and settled at Niagara, where he died in 1851. Children of John and Janet Hammersley were Catherine P. (Dec. 10, 1844-Aug. 21, 1926) married Joseph Evans and lived in Essex Co. ; Robert; Sarah married Smith Evans; and Isabella married Thomas W.
