- THUR, Emma (Mrs. Wilfred E.) - Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, November 3, 2008 at Chateau Gardens, Elmira. Emma (Klinck) Thur, in her 100th year, of Elmira. Beloved wife of the late Wilfred E. Thur (1984). Loving mother of Grace and John Moyer of Hamilton, Ron and Anne Thur of Elmira, Walter and Dianne Thur of Huntsville, Phyllis and Jim Gorman of Milton, Margaret (deceased 2002) and Paul Floto of Elmira. Dear Nana of 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Sister of Beatrice Klinck of Vancouver, Irene Slimmon of Milton, Wilma and Fred Hager of Elmira. Predeceased by her parents, Henry and Catherine Klinck; three sisters; six brothers and one granddaughter, Patrice Gorman (1993). The family will receive their friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Thursday evening, November 6, from 7-9 p.m. where funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday at 11 a.m. followed by interment in Elmira Union Cemetery. In her memory, donations to Chateau Gardens Auxiliary or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.
