    • Mrs. Margaret Ayre DOON, illness of six weeks duration, culminated in the death at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Arthur Jefkins, of Margaret Ayres, relict of the late Henry William Ayres on Friday morning in her 72nd year. The deceased was born in England and came to Canada 28 years ago. Until the last seven weeks the late Mrs. Ayres made her home in Doon. She was an Anglican by faith. Her husband predeceased her ten years ago. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Arthur Jefkins of Preston, Mrs. Ted Wybrow of Hespeler and Mrs. Clara Hammond of Kitchener, two sons, George of Doon and Harry of Roseland, Ontario, one sister in Davenport, England, seven grandchildren. The funeral took place on Monday afternoon at 2.30, from the Gordon Pass funeral home, Preston, to the Doon cemetery, for interment. The funeral was largely attended. Rev. S. H. Brownlee of St. John's Anglican Church, Preston, conducted both services.
